The Cube desktop 3D home printer by 3D Systems
Putting this on the Xmas list!
MASS MARKETED 3D PRINTING IS HAPPENING.
I REPEAT, MASS MARKETED 3D PRINTING IS HAPPENING.
DO NOT PRINT A DILDO!
Even the best 3D printers have tiny gaps for bacteria at least, and can cause tiny cuts at worst.
Print a dildo mould and fill it with latex.
Unless you’re printing tiny dildos to put in a bag so when someone is a jerk you can throw tiny dicks at them and tell them to “go eat a dick”. Then by all means, print tiny dicks.
Wizardstan dropping some knowledge

A dude friend demanded I "name one" female superhero who could head her own movie. I gave him a list. He said he hadn't heard of any, so they couldn't be A-listers. I said Captain Marvel, Black Widow, She-Hulk are solo titles. He said they still "couldn't handle" a solo movie. I gave up. (btw he also made several factual errors that, if he'd been a girl, the other dudes would've crucified him for, but they didn't say anything.) What are we supposed to do?
Kill him and eat him in front of the others. It’s the only way they learn.
Reminder that Iron Man wasn’t “A-list” before his first movie.
Erm….How was Iron Man not “A-List”? He has several solo titles and is one of the main protagonists in the Avengers…. Iron Man is pretty much the definition of “A-List”
See the bit where I said “Before his movie”. He wasn’t, he really wasn’t, one of the top names before a) Ellis and Granov’s Extremis arc/reboot and b) his first movie.
Until that point he was moderately successful, within comics, but certainly wasn’t a huge hit, and crucially, very few people outside of comic readers had any idea who he was.
Reminder that Black Widow had a solo film in production before the first Iron Man movie, and the reason it was cancelled was her gender.
One of my best friends has been an Iron Man fan his whole life, and he was STUNNED when the movie was green-lit, because Iron Man wasn’t A-list. We MADE these characters A-list, by loving their movies.
In another world, very close to this one, Black Widow is THE name to beat in comic book movies right now. I want to live there.
Ant-Man is getting his own movie
Daredevil had a movie
Ghost Rider has had 2 movies
Punisher’s had 2 movies (recently, in total he’s had 3)
Blade’s had 3 movies and a TV show
These are all “A-listers”?
I bet you most people had no clue who Blade was before the movies made him a success.
They invented a white dude out of whole cloth in the movie series in Coulson, and now he’s in video games, a live action series, an animated series, and in the comics.
Captain/Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman, Black Widow, etc all have more of a comics history and name recognition than Coulson who didn’t even exist 6 years ago. People act like who gets a movie is like some sort of sports draft, and they’re being picked by their college/comic accomplishments, rather than these are fictional characters who are popular if there is the will to write them well & promote them.
Can we just bring this back to Kelly Sue’s answer which is downright perfect?
When I look down at this golden statue, may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid. Thank you.
Dean: I mean, come on, Sam. What are we doing?
Sam: We’re hunting a ghost.
Dean: A ghost, exactly. Who does that?
Dean: Us, right. And that, Sam, that is exactly why our lives suck. I mean come on, we hunt monsters. What the hell? I mean, normal people, they see a monster and they run, but not us. No, we search out things that want to kill us, or eat us. You know who does that? Crazy people.
Ok, that episode was worth watching
But you can’t judge a book by its cover, dammit!
In actuality, the grave seriousness of Animorphs is what stands out most in my memories. This isn’t 10,000 pages of kids turning into butterflies. It’s a 10,000 page chronicling of war, and the central themes of the series are appropriately aligned with that subject matter. Once you’ve suspended your disbelief and firmly settled yourself into the bizarre sci-fi nature of the material, what you’ve got is five teenagers who struggle with things like dehumanization, the responsibility or leadership, sanity, insanity and morality. It is told with the horror of actual war, where the battle is not only physical, but mental as well. Is it right to kill unarmed enemies? Is it right to ask a team member and friend to carry out a dangerous mission? Is it right to retreat, to continue, to do anything?
Horrible things happen with surprising frequency in this series. Characters you’ve grown attached to have mental break-downs, crumble under the pressure, cease to be heroes. In fact, a lot of this series serves to debunk childish notions of battle and war as being something magnificent and heroic. The battles that are fought are not great feats or victories, but rather a series of jumbled, confusing actions that leave regret and sickness in the hearts of those who fought. Each decision, whether in the heat of battle or for the greater good, comes later to haunt the character who made it, and they forever feel the weight of their actions and their own short-comings.
I never finished the series but I was SUPER into it for a long time. It really was well done and didn’t dumb things down into super black and white.
I have said this like 8 times already but if any of you have any desire to read this series (which I HIGHLY encourage) I can send pdfs of all the books. I’m rereading them for the second time in three years and while the reading level is technically middle grade, the content is definitely pretty heavy.
So here’s a little something silly for the weredad!AU
And here’s the explanation for it:
I have two Scottish Terriers, a boy named Malik and a girl named Sara. We’re currently working on getting them trained, so that we can have them taken to a competition. This means, that we can’t neuter Malik, so it gets a bit troublesome when Sara gets in heat.
To cope with that problem, my mom has sown a ‘chastity suit’ for Malik. He doesn’t wear it 24/7 mind you, we take it off at night and have him and Sara sleep in seperate rooms, and also for when they go on walks.
But, short of the long, I got the image of were!Koz in a similar ‘suit’ and I just couldn’t resist drawing it X3 Hope it gives you a good giggle, Linddzz!
